Riders racing on Gempen gravel roads

Swiss Champagne Gravel. One Stacked Weekend.

Distance Options: 40, 50, 100 & GRAVEL OMNIUM

Different distances on the same signature Gempen terrain. Choose your pace and your kind of day.

Gempen 50 riders pushing the pace on gravel

Gempen 50 · Race

50 km | ~1,300 HM

Last year's loop, reworked for 2026: smoother, faster gravel sections, full gas from the first ramp, and a few surprises to keep you on your toes.

The classic Gempen distance, sharper than ever.

Gempen 100 riders deep into the long course

Gempen 100 · Race

100 km | ~2,300 HM

Replaces the 150 with one big loop instead of three repeats — more of the Jura and Baselland, never repetitive.

The full day out for anyone who wants their gravel measured in hours, not minutes.

Gempen 40 social ride group rolling together

Gempen 40 · Social Ride

40 km | ~700 HM

No timing, no pressure — your pace, good company, and a proper coffee stop along the way.

The way in for anyone who wants the Gempen experience without racing it.

Gravel Omnium

Friday night, short laps, fast course — the show that opens the weekend.

Multiple races back-to-back on a tight track at the Graveldrome, accompanied by pasta & beats.

The Graveldrome: Where the Weekend Orbits

It is the Omnium stage, the emotional finish zone, and the social center all weekend long. Every rider and supporter ends up here.

Camping sits inside the old horse-track oval: pitch your tent about 30 meters from the finish, grab coffee in flip-flops, and stay close to the Gravel Festival energy. Open from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, so you can arrive and be race-ready in about 15 minutes.

Properly Supported

Feed zones

One on the 50, two on the 100. Water, electrolytes, and real food — bananas, bars, and salty snacks. Sportsnutrition by our Partners.

Self-supported rules

Gravel is self-supported: fuel at the feed zones or use the drop-bag service. No outside feeding on course. Plan your day before you start.

Timing chips

Electronic chip timing on the 50 and 100 with live splits. The Social Ride is untimed — just ride.

On-course safety

We aim to make this the safest race possible with medical teams on-site at the Graveldrome, moto support by motosafety.ch on course, and SafeCycling.cc managing traffic and intersections - but riders must always use their own judgment too.

Mechanic on-site

Voyage Cycling Store crew at the Graveldrome with spare parts and quick fixes. Bring a bike that is almost ready and they will get you the rest of the way.

You can't get lost

GPX files for every route, plus arrows and ribbons at every junction. If you miss a turn, that is on you.
